Just dropping in to say hey. I've been a computer and tech ethusiast all my life. I love building and tinkering with PCs, web design & development, cybersecurity, programming, and messing around with Raspberry Pi and Arduino microcontrollers. Also space, but thats not really relevant.

Basically I'm a major nerd with a passion for things with flashy lights and screens.

Ah, I've been a lurker for maybe a good year or so now. I haven't taken on any major projects yet (hoping to get started on a tube site, which is primarily the reason for deciding to join) so I wouldn't necessarily call myself a professional just yet either.

Mostly a hobby for me at this point, hoping to "go pro" when I get my CS degree
 
nice intro dude, i have worked with arduino, managed to make a smart watch with bluetooth accellerometer on the ankle and connected it all up to the wrist unit, again with BLE, turned out it wasnt worth the money as they are very cheap nowadays, but well worth the experience. the heart rate monitor was shop bought tho. SD card for the log but didnt manage to create the app,

Ah, that's pretty cool! I was considering making a 2FA device, maybe with a password manager as well, started planning it out and everything. But Yubikey already makes hardware tokens much cheaper, and they already have Google Authenticator for the smart watch. Eh, I might still work on it some rainy day though just for shits and giggles.
