    Hello BHW,

Have been looking around for a little bit and decided to have a crack.. consider myself fairly fluent in technology terms, but am still at the start of learning html, css, php etc.

So for the time being i'm using rapidweaver (WYSIWYG on osx) but have found it hard to find nulled themes and plugins which most often cost £25+.

Would you guys suggest leaving it altogether and use straight code (after another few months of learning)? I have played around with wordpress, but really don't like it although the resources do seem good.

I bought webuyipods.net a while ago for a different purpose but have decided to use it as a sort of experiment and see if i can get to grips with seo.

Have put up a small test site quickly with very little content and a few aff links.

    What do you guys think?

i dont know the quality of design you will produce after learning for a few months, but it sure saves $. if you have the time to spare, learning those codes would come in very useful as you can build custom solutions to cater to the demands of your website.

IMO, using WYSIWYG editor may save time, but the code underneath it would be messy. Learning some codes will pay off in the long run.

Yeah I think i'm going to invest the time to learn to code, just cant get websites how i want them with rapidweaver.

with webuyipods . net, i had £50 free adwords credit when i signed up with one.com for hosting, any thoughts on them?

created a campaign and its converting really well with an average of 2.4% CTR over all my keywords and 18.9% for my top one, this is not bad right?

earnt £12 so far with my aff link :)

when u use these softs you usually have a limit of what u can design, but learning to code yourself = no limits

Why would you have a domain with a trademark name in it? that's insane in my world. You could have so many other names and target the same niches ( EMD do not mather in the long run imho). I guess i'm not gangster like that. Nice site though.

I'm dont think this will get that big really, would apple care? I think the domain does really help though, for example for the keyword: sell my ipod, i'm getting 23%+ CTR, which is damn good right?

Not a bad niche btw, high competition, but adwords are working well generating about 50% profit per £/$ spent.
Would probably work well if you set up microniche sites targeting specific models, i.e sell your iphone 3gs. Just a thought though..

Thanks for the compliment, and thats the thing i put that up in about 15 mins of work, photoshop for the header and a little code for the rollovers. Seems like hard coding a simple site like that would take ages.

Such a good community here btw!

Just read up on EMDs, didnt know what they were, I see what you mean, and seems they're being downranked by panda. just a test site really, getting a feel for the whole IM thing. lesson learned though

Maybe get some highlights in your design. It looks alittle bit dull.
Clean the code, it's rly dirty.
Onsite seo optimizing is something you can consider...
