Hello! I’m a perpetually 39 year old professional/only parent/affiliate marketer. I currently live in the Midwest. I stumbled on this forum because I’m tusseling with Reddit and am in a bit of a panic. I started affiliate marketing in August 2024, and I’ve been making $2500-$3500 a month just from posting on Reddit. That is, until June 23, 2025, when my monthly clicks/subscriptions/paid subscriptions ground to a complete halt. I have no idea what happened. The internet says I wasn’t shadowbanned and but it looks like a bunch of my posts and comments across multiple subreddits were all summarily taken down. I do have a bad habit of ticking off scammers/hackers so I’m a bit worried I got myself in over my head with one. It I’m not sure that’s the case, I definitely may have fucked up some other way. Im going to be scouring the forums in search of solutions/explanations and welcome any insight anyone cares to share! Many thanks in advance. This looks like a great community, can’t wait to join the conversation.

Welcome! Lately, Reddit’s been cracking down hard on affiliate links and promo-style posts, even if you’re playing by the rules. Could be mod removals, automated spam filters, or maybe a few bad reports stacking up. Definitely worth checking if your posting patterns changed or if the subs you used tightened their rules.

Hello,
Welcome to BHW!
There are a lot of reasons and only you can tell:
- You spammed a lot from just 1 or a few accounts.
- You used only one or a few domains.
- You got reported.
- ...

Hopefully you can fix the issue soon!

Hello and welcome. Reddit is pretty picky lately so that may be from a lot of different reasons.

Focus on checking if your posts violated any specific subreddit rules, as that might be the reason for the sudden drop in engagement. Also, consider if your content has become too promotional recently. Reddit users prefer value-driven posts, so balancing promotion with genuine engagement could help restore your performance.
