This is my first day here, and I think introducing myself to the community is the least I should do.

My name is Chris and I stumbled into internet marketing by accident. You know, the kind of events that seem to happen to you just to bring you down (losing your job etc...)
What took me too long to realise was that these accidents were the best things that could happen to me. Too long ? Yes, because when the big one hit, I didn't realise it was an opportunity for radical changes in my life... like getting rid of all the things I didn't care about and weighed way too heavy in the backpack I had to carry along.

It took a couple of years - I could not skip the learning curve, since I had no idea where I was heading.

The first thing they should have taught me though is that learning on the internet didn't work like learning at school. If you come across something you just think you could do, all you have to do is implement what you learn and see where it takes you. While at shool, you still have to go through a whole bunch of stuff you're absolutely not interested in, and that you're going to spend years storing into scrambled drawers of your memory... and probably won't be able to find if you ever need them years or decades after you "learnt" them anyway.
On the net, you learn, implement, fail or succeed... and just keep going. Failures are what you build success on.
One only needs to be open-minded enough to see the difference. It's not because you don't make 50 grand overnight that you failed, but if what you did made you just $50, it's all only about finding out what could have been done differently, about tweaking your initial stuff and shooting it out again!
I love this way of learning! I'm an explorer, a digger ... with a tendency of seeing things most others might not see. Which ended up being another stepping stone towards my goals.

Looking forward to exploring your shared strategies and the tools you use!

Almost forgot : my stuff is affiliate marketing, advertising and I love playing around with design tools :)
