Hello from Vegas

Hello all. I tried to get into SEO back in the day but gave up/didn't put enough time into it so now I'm back mostly just trying to make a few bucks a day to say something is mine instead of just working for the man. Willing to put in the time and effort this time and excited about doing something new.

I have a couple questions while I've got an easy audience.

1. Is there a list or could anyone recommend posts of the step-by-step nature for newbies like LukaB did in his "Complete Guide to Starting a Website"? (can't link yet)

2. I've noticed strategies being sold but do members sell training time? Like if I were to learn to play the guitar I'd get a teacher at $x/hr to cut out wasted energy/time, is there an area of the site people are offering similar service? The blackhat stuff gets a little convoluted and there's a million different programs out there.

Looking forward to contributing in the future and hopefully making a little money.

Just start doing searches related to the topic you're interested in, Im sure you'll find a great deal of collective knowledge.

In regards to mentoring, I don't think thats a favorite topic here, due to potential for scams. Besides real mentoring from a succesful person is not cheap and to be able to benefit from it, you must be at a certain level.

But again there's plenty of good stuff here, just use the search option.
