Hi all

I found BHW about a month ago and have been trying to digest bits of information for a while but thought it was about time for an introduction!
My wife has just setup an eCommerce site which is my main reason for my desire to learn all things SEO, as well as being a web designer.

I'm quite excited by the possibilities of all the content on here and look forward to getting stuck in! If anyone has some suggestions of some good services that I could also buy to improve rankings for my wife's eCommerce site in a high competition area (360,000/month) that would be great.

Hello also from the UK.

I'm going to be blunt, if you're looking to learn seo for an ecommerce site, you are in the wrong place. This is blackhatworld, it floats ontop of a murky sea of poor links, google penalties and short term wins.

If you really want to achieve success with your wife's ecommerce store (360,000 searches!?!? I hope you have a lot of time, or A LOT of money.), then read up on white hat seo, it will be better in the longrun.

Don't listen to the above. I myself have learnt some invaluable knowledge for eCommerce SEO through BHW, so from first hand experience of using BHW to learn about these sort of things, I can tell you that you will definitely learn a lot.

Well all things in SEO or Traffic Generation to your website using any method comes like SEM, Social Media Marketing or anything. You need to learn the search engine behavior. And may be it will take time to learn as experience has not short cut. SEO is time consuming thing and required a lot of patience. Well you can get some good tips here.
