Hey, my name is Vac. (introduction because this is my first thread)
Currently right now my websites are battling what I like to call the great depression, being that they're all based around Copyright related subjects on par with Movies, Music, and Audiobooks the bans are at an all time high.
Googles algorithm is shaking off these type of sites quicker then ever in 2017 and with 2018 right around the corner, we can probably expect even more drastic changes to peer into the copyright blogging scene, all of which will be negative.
This is where I am stuck!
My question for you guys is how in the world do I monetize such shakey traffic? Some things you need to consider are the following, my domains get banned probably once a month. I'm generating some decent traffic, usually around 4,000,000+ views per month but it's extremely high bounce rate puts me in a giant puddle.
Most of my traffic is direct traffic because of the sheer fact that I've been around for so long, doing the same thing, providing a service and people have taken account of it. And because of it, now my revenue has gone down quite a bit.
For movies I've found that using services which are CPA oriented are quite well for earning revenue, however for my music sites getting people to convert seems harder then blowing blowing my nose after cold air has splashed my face for 12 hours on end.
I am currently monetizing with only pop-ups and a link shortner for my music sites. This is generating me around 40.00 per day give or take? For roughly 100K impressions. This is nothing to scoff at, but when I know the potential my traffic could be gaining me.. it makes me wonder, what can I do differently?
Some questions that will probably be asked, and my answers in advance.
Q: What GEO's are your traffics from?
A: Around 60% US traffic, 15% UK, 5% Canada and the rest from other countries.
