    Hi

My names Paul and I've been reading forums on BHW for a while.

I work for a B2C financial services group based in the UK. We have been white hat for a while though buying articles/links in online newspapers has helped a bit, and opened our eyes to the potential of BH. Now hoping to learn how to build PBN and any other safe(ish) quality link building methods.

Looking forward to learning from you guys!

Welcome to BHW. I am in Scotland as well (Perth). Looks like a Scotland BHW meetup on the horizon....
Anyway, yes you should read through some of the posts on BHW and look at the types of BH methods that are used to rank sites.
All I will say is that you need to really learn and understand things before you start using them on a legitimate website - you always want to have a good buffer between your site and any BH tactics/links otherwise you risk getting your site penalized.

Thanks guys, good to see some other Scots here - I'm in Glasgow too. Are there ever any meet ups or conferences?
Thanks for the advice David, I won't be using the black hat tactics on any long standing company asset to be honest, just not worth the risk. We are in a pretty competitive niche but we know our competitors are using BH tactics and if you can't beat them ...
Btw, what do you guys think of .scot? I can't find anywhere to pick up expired domains... though I don't know if any would have enough authority yet
