Hello from Ny

Hello I am chiming in from upstate ny, I am branddddd new to the seo world and I feel blessed to have stumbled across this site. First thing first is there a term sheet here so that I can learn all these new seo terms and not feel lost lol. I currently work in I.t dealing with networking. But thanks to lyndacom and a good torrent site I am learning HTML and dream weavers and I must say that I am loving it. Currently I am starting a fitness company and looking to push the site ranks and get real traffic. Also looking to get into the ad market and see how I can get in with a good cpm company and generate some revenue through the site. This site seems freaking Awesome and glad I found it. Is there a complete noob section so that I can become informed?
