Been lurking these forums for a couple of days now and decided to join. This really is a gold mine. Looks like this community is full of knowledgeable people !
Little background on me : I have been interested in IM for a while now but never really got it to work (I admit that I abandoned, but this time I am giving it a REAL shot) . I used to work for an french SEO company in Paris back in 2006 (it was an unpaid internship really) where I would manually create high PR backlinks for clients such as L'Oreal from a list of links in a spreasheet (the links where sites where competitors had backlinks). Boring as hell but I got to discover the IM world. From what I have been reading so far, the game has changed quite a lot !
I now have a full time job (in Canada) that I love and has nothing to do with IM but I figured that with some work I could pretty easily get some extra income. My plans for now (and they will very surely change as I read up) is to choose a niche, make a small website, pay to get some content created and push traffic to the site via social networks (mainly FB). I am thinking of monetizing with Clickbank or Amazon. I am not even sure this is a good plan at the moment and I have a lot of reading to do. My goal is a 10$ per day to start out and prove that I can get this working and then scale up accordingly.
