Hello everyone

Overposting without value hurt me early on. Engagement dropped fast. Ignoring comments also slowed growth more than I expected. Chasing trends that didn’t fit the niche confused followers. And inconsistent posting broke momentum.

Focusing too much on promotion instead of value, ignoring audience comments or messages, using irrelevant hashtags, and failing to analyze performance data to improve future content.

One of the most common SMM errors that consistently kills engagement in 2025 is the "Post and Ghost" habit—sharing content but not staying active to reply to comments within the first 30 minutes. Algorithms on platforms like Instagram and TikTok now heavily weigh "early engagement velocity," so ignoring your audience effectively tells the system that your content isn't worth promoting further. Additionally, over-relying on automation for generic "Nice post!" comments can actually trigger spam filters and lower your account's trust score.

For me, the biggest mistakes were posting just to stay active and not really listening to the audience. Overusing trends, being inconsistent, or pushing too much instead of engaging usually led to drops in engagement. Once I focused more on value and interaction, things improved.

Adding too many followers at once can get your profile flagged for verification. Add anywhere between 600-900 followers and that should be good.
