My name is Joey and I "run" a Youtube channel for some years now.
First for fun by uploading some game clips and then all of a sudden I got 4+ million views on a single video (Youtube algorithm??).
Then I did some research and got interested in making money with Youtube.
I just found this forum when searching for Youtube optimizing tips and it looks like I will find them here for sure.

The first video that went viral is a few years old and was just to test my GPU's recording option (shadowplay).
It was 6 minutes long. I didnt do any research for shorts yet but i read you can monotize them next year, right?
