Hello everyone I have been looking over these forums for the last few days after a couple of my friends told me about them with proven results! I am a 23 year old programmer that is looking to get away from the usual 9-5 job, so I can start working for me and getting the money I feel my skills are worth! There is a lot of useful information here and I just felt compelled to join. Any starting tips for a experienced programmer who is a little new on monetizing web traffic and all this jazz??

Currently everything web based pretty much. With a focus in PHP5, and the obvious front end technologies.
Though I also do some C++ coding and other types of scripting, AHK etc.
 
In the archive is a treasure trove of methods and techniques to monetize web properties and/or online traffic, if that's what you're interested in doing.

Do you currently have domains with a lot of visitors? If so, I would suggest on page ads (through BuySellAds / Adsense) or affiliate marketing.

There is also a need for programmers to create tools, bots, and websites. Check out the Joint Venture section - programmers are in high demand around here.

Hey, welcome aboard.. i will suggest you take an hour or so and go through the archives. After that you can ask as many questions as you wish... one thing though.. joining BHW is the best thing you ever did!
