I'm just getting started and was hoping if any of you experts out there can tell me if I'm on the right track.

Yesterday, I just bought some ad space on a website through buysellads (125x125 banner).

Estimated Impressions: 725,000
Cost: $25
CPM: $.034
CTR: .05% / 362.5 clicks (estimated)
Conversion Ratio: 1% = 3.625 sales (estimated)

For this one, I'm pushing a clickbank product that pays out $20/sale, so according to these estimates, I should hope to profit $47.50?

Are my calculations sound? Is the CTR and/or Conversion Ratio estimated too high? And is there any way I can tell if the amount of impressions or clicks are bunk since it's direct linked and not going to a landing page of my own?

hey man, don't listen to negativity, remember Abe Lincoln? he persevered and didn't quit, and he because president!
if you work at it and have faith in everything you do with perseverance, everything will work out fine! good luck (:

only a fool believes that there are guarantees in life, let alone in this business, but thanks for your post anyway.

after one day on the campaign, my ctr was pretty dead on so i'm waiting for it to scale to see some conversions. hopefully 1% isn't too optimistic.

i also bought some more space similar to the original but promoting a cpa offer. for this one, ctr was once again dead on at .05% and has already converted at 5.8%. i was hoping to see a c/r on this offer at 30% to see a nice little profit. 12% is my break even point.

can anyone tell me what typical c/r is for cpa?

sorry but i guess we stand for our opinions, and my opinion, i truly think is true. i hate the negativity in this forum. cyao.
