Where are you planning to visit? I was in Ventimiglia last month. Stood in the middle of the town, from where I saw the Alps in one side and the sea on other. Beautiful little seaside town.

I'd recommend to go there only if it's on your way. There not much to see. I was in France near that town, that's why I took a day trip there.
