Hi, everyone. This is my first time in any online forum community (professionally). I am here to help others and seek others help also. I am facing an issue in my site. My home & service pages are start ranking in google but location pages are not ranking on location keywords like California abc service. I am checking search console daily, new keywords are appearing for general service pages but none of them are location keywords.

Kindly help me with this issue?

Hi, and welcome to the forum :)

As far as I know "California [whatever] service" is a tough keyword to rank for. You'll probably need a lot of strong links and / or citations to rank it..

Besides, there's this thing called E-A-T (Expertise - Authority - Trust) which google loves and pretty much forces everyone with a website to have it because google loves knowing everything about everyone and unless you tell them how many times you breathe in a day, what you had for lunch and what consistency your poop is you won't rank in tough niches / for tough keywords.

Despite of how I phrased the sentence above, EAT is a pretty big deal so I dare predict that this is one of the main reasons for which you're not ranking for that keyword, you might want to look into improving your EAT. Here is a thread posted by @Walterwhit a few months ago that explains how to increase your site's EAT:

As for the "home" and "services" pages of your domain ranking I think that's because they're ranking for branded terms (your company's brand I mean), and it's normal for a brand to rank for its branded keywords without much hassle.

Anyway, unfortunately I'm not very good at local SEO, so I wouldn't know what to advise you. But you can wait for replies from more knowledgeable members, or you can ask for paid help in this forum if you're in a hurry:

Totally agree with @tazarbm . All of those kws are really hard ones, they won't rank justo with on page SEO.

You can try with Long tail keywords instead of exact match keywords for example best service in California, best service in California 2022 like these

It will help you to reach improve positions for those keywords
