Hello everyone,

I have started this e-commerce apparel site about two weeks ago. It's on Shopify and it's completely automated (no inventory - printing is on demand after a customer places a purchase).

Sidenote: I personally don't care about Trump much, I chose him as my niche, because he is and has been the most viral candidate out of all the presidential hopefuls in the current elections. I figured he will have the most fanatic following which should convert the easiest.

Can someone help on how to drive traffic to this site that converts?

Things I've tried:

1. FB ADS (different flex targeting, different audience sizes, different ad copies, limited success).
2. I have a twitter page and I started following people who follow his official twitter.

Any thoughts/help/suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

No this is not the right place to do this. This section of the board is where people introduce themselves to the community. It's meant as a place for people to get to know other members - not to get to know their websites.

Further, you shouldn't put your domain name in your thread title. I think most people will see this not as an attempt to learn how to get traffic, but rather they will see it as an attempt to advertise your domain.

You're probably going to be banned for this. Maybe not, so you might want to read the rules of the forum and get a better sense of what is and is not acceptable here. A better thread title and content would contain just the information about your basic niche(PS - you outed a hot one - way to go), and the direct information about what you tried leading to the final question of "what else can I do to get traffic for this e-commerce site?"

You tried some good stuff, but we have no idea how much time or money you invested in these things. Personally I feel this niche is hot, and you could grab a lot of prospects outside the channels you picked. Social media is probably your best bet here including twitter, instagram, and facebook, but you need heavy followings. You better get moving, because when Trump loses the nomination in July ... this niche is about going to completely dry up.

I'd definitely consider broadening the niche to include a larger marketing opportunity. Politics is huge, and capitalizing solely on the Don's fans means you're losing a lot of opportunities. Definitely keep doing what you're doing with Don, but consider making a broader second site that focuses more heavily on the other opportunities within the niche. It will be here forever, but Donald will not.

Lol i don't live in the USA but if i did i wouldn't be wearing a shirt with trump on it for fear of getting stabbed to death by the people he has targeted with verbal bollox.

I am new to this forum and getting sales from "advertising" this site by putting my domain in the title was definitely not the plan and I can almost guarantee that based on my experience this won't result into any sales.
I say that, because what I initially thought to be an easy project, that when I use a highly targeted audience through fb ads this project will do well, I was wrong. While there are some sales, this is certainly more difficult than would seem. That is also why I am not worried about giving this niche out like you said, because I can tell you, feel free to try for yourself.

I am aware that the presidential elections will be over and then this will dry out, but that wasn't a concern, as I will be doing other niche stores while/after I am doing this one.

All I was looking for was other suggestions on how to drive traffic to this. This forum is huge and quite frankly I am a bit lost, that's why I posted this. If it's a problem, feel free to edit it or delete. I tried editing the title but it doesn't let me remove the domain.
