I generate 1M traffic through a network of 50 sites focused on the entertainment industry. No nudity or adult content.

Besides Adsense how I can monetize and get higher conversions?

CJ has not helped a lot and offers are not inviting for the type of traffic.

You generate 1 million views and dont know how to monetize? Try direct selling ads for good $$$
 
Check out Taboola with that amount of traffic.
 
As already suggested there're networks like taboola, outbrain etc, you can make much more money with few networks rather than with just adsense.
If your traffic is from Tier 1 countries you can make a pretty good revenue
 
There are wide range of possibilities with networks like Outbrain, taboola, revcontent and etc. These will provide you the best way to monetise your blog. Choose the one that best suits you!
 
The best way to monetize is to raise they domain authorities will links on other high quality sites. Then you can also sell links and sponsored articles on your own sites!
 
Try a split test with some referrals system on requiring mode on your niche.
