Hi guys! My name is Aiydan and I am 100% new to IM. I've spent a couple days lurking around this site reading methods and such, but a lot of things just don't make sense to me yet. I'm here to learn, though, and it's time to get started!
I have a steady job that pays well, but my schedule is so erratic that it's brought a lot of unneeded stress in my life. I know it would probably be easier to just go find a different job, but where I live this is about as good as it gets. I also want to be able to set my own schedule and take an afternoon or morning off if I need to. I have a rather hectic life -- I'd prefer to schedule my work around my life instead of vice versa.
I've saved up a bit of money to invest in online business (about $1,000) but I have absolutely no idea where to start. I'm sure it's best to keep my money in the bank for now, but if anyone has any suggestions for a newbie I'd be willing to give it a try.
Although this post probably doesn't show it, I'm a native English speaker and I have above-average writing capabilities. I have plenty of free time throughout the week and am willing/able to put the work in, but I don't want to spend a bunch of time putting work in on something that isn't going to benefit me (who would?)
I'm also a half-decent web developer. I can create websites which I'm sure will shave a lot of costs from my endeavors. I don't have a portfolio yet but I'd be willing to create some samples for anyone interested in a custom-built site instead of a Wordpress theme.
Starting to ramble here so I'm going to wrap it up. Thank you for allowing me to be here, and if any more experienced marketers could point me in any kind of direction I would be eternally grateful. I'm ready to go out and make some money!
