    Hi everybody

I thought it was about time I introduced myself on this forum.

I have been on BHW for a couple of months (learning not lurking!). When I first found this site, the message that really came through was that members like to see people testing things for themselves, rather than just asking question after question. So that is what I did. I carried out some tests. Spent a little money. Anyway, it was all pretty unsuccessful. But I am not bothered by that. I know I will make a success of this in the end. Every failed test just takes me one step closer to success, and I feel very positive about that.

A little about me - I am from the U.K. I lived a happy(ish!) life in China for 2 years, before deciding I needed a change, and moved to Thailand. I was in Thailand a month, before I had a motorbike accident, and seriously damaged my shoulder. This coincided with me running out of money, and so I returned to the U.K. for treatment, and I have been stuck here since last Summer.

My plan is to make enough money to get back out to Asia, and have a recurring monthly income so that I can stay out there for lengthy periods of time, and travel when I like. I have no ambitions of ever owning a house or a car. I am happiest living out of a bag and a guest house (albeit a nice bag, and a nice guest house.)

I started doing IM just over a year ago, and have spent way too much time reading, and not enough time doing. This has been my biggest fault to date, and now my focus is on getting things done.

Although this is not a Journey thread, I would like to post my earnings to date:

    amazon.co.uk - 0
    amazon.com - $98.54
    adsense - £8.06
also made pennies from bidvertiser and chitika
and a couple of weeks ago, I got my first sale through Clickbank - $32.90. (after the first sale you expect it to be the start of things, but since then, nothing)
This is all I have earned during the past year, but as you can see, they all fall below payment thresholds, so technically I haven't had any income whatsoever (although that amazon.com is getting close!)

As I mentioned, this is not a journey thread, and I am posting my earnings here so that I can look back on them in 6 months or a year, and hopefully have something to feel proud of, and also to be open with you all that I am a newbie at this.

I want to thank all the BHW members who have provided such great advice on this forum, and have inspired me so much.

One of my reasons for making my introduction now, is to make a commitment to you all that I will now take an active role in this forum. I wish you all the best and look forward to interacting with you all. I absolutely love this job, and am going all out to make it a success.

Apologies if this intro is a little longer than you are used to.

    Welcome to BHW,

Props to you for actually trying and testing. Most new folks here don't even bother to use the search or try anything. Keep at it you will get to your goals.

What's the cost of living out in Thailand and do they have decent internet?

As I stayed in northern Thailand, in Chiang Mai, and I have friends there, I can live quite cheaply. Food is ridiculously cheap, I can walk everywhere, and can get a room in a guest house for £150 a month. Ideally, I am aiming at £500 a month to live there. Ten micro-niche sites bringing in $100 (£60) a month and I should be good to go.

As for internet, the service in Thailand is not as good as the U.K., but when I compare it to what I experienced in China, it felt lightning fast.
