I was on the previous season with a pet product.
I almost lost the deal because I wasn't willing to give up too much equity, but luckily, 1 shark came back in, and I ended up with a deal with 3 sharks.
It was a great experience, very long process to get on but worth all the trouble.

Thanks, Jason! Yes I tell people all the time, it took me over 10 years of working hard to get my first 'overnight success' when I sold my first content site for 9M.

My first e-com business was in the pet space, launched that in 2018 and first year we did 7M, second year 18M in revenue, but then covid happened and my margins got killed and the whole business became very unprofitable and sold that business in 2022 for pennies from what it was worth in 2020. Lot of lessons learned.

I launched another e-commerce brand earlier this year, and this time I was little bit smarter to make sure I pick the right product, so for me it is more about picking a product that has high AOV, high margins (to pay for ads), and is either a highly repeat product or has a subscription revenue.

If I had to pick one category, I would say supplements is one of the better categories i you know how to market because there is a lot of competition but I know a lot of people killing it in this category.
