Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Any of you guys play this game? I started playing a while back but recently I have really started to get into it. Perfect game for filling those little breaks between IM. To begin with I thought it lacked the depth of r/l card games such as Magic but as you progress and unlock each character specific card the scope of play becomes huge. My personal favorite at the moment is the Jaina. Tons of hard hitting spells backed up with aggressive crowd control abilities, not to mention the increased damage from minions with + spell damage.

Anyone else got a favorite deck? Any tips you have picked up along the way? Id love to test my deck out against a few of you in friendly's if you fancy a challenge.

I tried it, it's great but I stopped playing it. Unfortunately for me, games I like tend not to become "Perfect game for filling those little breaks between IM", but IM becomes what I do in breaks between games.

The game is nice, not requesting so many gaming knowledge but, when you go after level 20, and you want to play versus players starts to be a bit annoying. The crafted cards can be painful and you will start to loose one after another. I talk from my own experience and I know that Jaina can be countered very easy

I know what you mean bro. Sometimes it can be too tempting to play just one more game haha.

I have just hit level 22 and I am noticing my win ratio dropping a bit, maybe this is why? Jaina was just the first character that I started building on so maybe I should start looking into other guys. Any recommendations? A big hole in my deck at the moment is the lack of high damage minions. I tend to rely on taunts and spells too much which can be a problem if they do not come out in the right order. There have been many games where I drop all my spells in the first few rounds and i am left with an army of Goldshire footmen.. Not ideal.

I heard about this that is very good, but never played it. It's also free to play.

I'm a complete sucker for all Blizzard games and Hearthstone is no exception

As per crafted cards/decks, if you watch a few streams from very good/legend rank players, you will see that they play very well even with basic cards. You don't really need a ton of legendaries to be good at it All you need is a bit of practice and the experience that comes with it.

I played hearthstone for a while last year in between studying for exams. Awesome game but I felt that it got kind of boring after a while. Idk if that's just me.

Slim, Jaina is not a very good hero to play at ranked at the moment. If you don't have a lot of good/hard hitting cards, I'd suggest you try Warlock. You can look for "Zoo" decks and try one of them. They are very cheap to make (in terms of dust) and very effective (to the point of being annoying for your opponents).

Warlocks are my biggest annoyance by far. Very rarely can I beat them. I have never heard of a "Zoo" deck before so I may have to give it a google, cheers for the tip!

I've been playing this since the Beta ended and have really gotten addicted. Game is so quick and fun!
