I think a journey post is long due. I was a student researcher studying Biomedical at a university. But just shy of few credits I had to drop out because of a damn medical condition. I have been working on a health related website since Feb. Its more like a passion than a money thing to me. Though money is always good:cool:. I work really hard to find the best information that would be helpful the reader. I am pretty bad at getting stuff done by others, so I've written my own articles. About 40-50, never counted.

I have written most the content in a way that young generation (20-30 age group) would dig it.

Earlier Experience: I have been pretty much an internet person since childhood. I did those paid to click things like donkeymails, inboxdollars long time back when I was in 9th grade lol. Earning money online always fascinated me. When I went to college I started doing freelance writing and made some decent amount doing high quality writing. On many occasions I was paid up-to $25 for 700-1000 words since I wrote some real fine well-researched content (mostly health related). Though I left freelance writing about a year ago since it was taking up too much time. I also had a music website but that was just a hobby. Didn't monetize it.

What I have right now: I have a website with a 7 alphabet non-EMD. Though their IS a word related to health. And with advances in health research, it will just get increasing searches. I've tried to keep the website as professional looking as possible. First impression is everything when it comes to new websites (I think). No Ads on main page. The website has about 30 (500-800) word articles loaded up right now. Everything is indexed by Google. Need to submit sitemap to bing too. Will upload a article or two everyday and keep writing new ones too.

Getting it popular: I will be doing two things initially. First is SEO. The articles that I uploaded on website are only mildly optimized. Right now I am working to do the best SEO I can. For this I am using Google keyword tool and Google suggestions.

Second thing will be to get the twitter and Facebook group popular. For this I will probably use a service on BHW/Fiverr.

Meanwhile to get things rolling and see traffic behavior I have ordered 5k visitors from a service here.

Monetization: Here, I am a bit lost. I have been confused which strategy to apply. I have applied for adsense account and put the code on the website. But the account is on hold since many days.
In many of my articles I am planning to give a reference to some product relevant to the topic of discussion. I will use CJ for this. At least that's the plan. I have also been thinking about Viglinks. Any idea how it is?

I am not setting any money goal because I have no idea how it will go. But I think I will aim somewhere between $20 a day right now.

Lets see how this journey goes on. I am NOT going to quit on this until I start seeing some godamn cash in my account. I've always quit halfway through things. Not this time.

Optimized articles with as much SEO I could. Perfected website logo. Included affiliate links/banners in posts. Adsense also started working.

    Earnings from Adsense: $0.0
Earnings from CJ: $0.0 [16 impressions and 4 clicks for yesterday. It was 0 before]

I am waiting for approval from 2 sources on CJ. I plan to promote these two globally on my website.
Next thing to do is to get twitter and facebook rolling.

I am also planning to create mini pdfs about various health topics with links to my website. I will then upload these to torrent websites. I did a trial 2 weeks back and it bought 60 clicks to CJ and 2 impressions.
Is there any downside to this torrent strategy?

EDIT: I just saw todays stats on CJ. 20 impressions and 7 clicks.

Health/Fitness has been a good niche for me. I think the main priories are these- Good original content which you seem to have down and targeted traffic. People looking to lose weight/gain muscle/ get healthy seem to like to spend money if the content is convincing and the products are related to the content, then all you need is to get traffic which can be done by SEO, Videos, social media (facebook/twitter), press releases, pay per click, media buying etc..

SEO CAN be the cheapest if you know what you are doing but also can take the most time. So it depends on your budget. I am not good with media buys but there are some here that simply SWEAR by it. There are some threads out there about it.

Getting slightly increased traffic day by day.
    CJ- 11 clicks and 125 impression | $0.00
    Adsense - 149 pageviews | $0.00

checked google webmaster tools. Some posts rank page1/page2 for certain keywords. Will continue working on SEO to see the changes on other posts. Using GSA to send out comments.

Set an campaign in adwords too. Hoping to see good results from adwords.
