Do search ads still work for that, mine get restricted? And what method do you use? I am thinking about starting shopping ads

You should be using a cloaker for health supplement ads, especially since they tend to get restricted. It helps bypass the ad restrictions while still reaching your target audience. Shopping ads can also work, but a cloaker is a safer bet for running these types of ads

Search still works for health supplements, but one has to choose right keywords and ad copy, avoid exaggerated medical claims.
But the most important part for supplements ads is having a strong ads account

Yeah search ads still work but Google’s getting stricter these days. Make sure your landing page and ad copy follow all policies that’s usually why restrictions happen. Shopping ads are a good move though they convert well if your feed and product data are set up right.

Outlook's grim on that one. Google's particularly strict with health-related claims, especially for supplements. I believe most get flagged under specific criterias like unapproved substances or misleading medical claims policies. It's still possible though, just difficult. You can run compliant campaigns with very clean copy though, avoid peddling cures, remedies, or preventative claims and just angle for general wellness. That or stick to native or social ad platforms with less strict policies.

I think you should just try running an ad on Meta Ads; it’s less strict than Google. If you want to run ads on Google Ads, you’ll have to avoid any mentions or references to medications, supplements, and so on. They’re very strict about that.

Shopping Ads (in Google Ads) have a 10x more strict review moderation. I suggest stick to search ads. In the health / supplements niche, you need to be careful about the keywords you use and the ad copies as well, so that these pass the initial automatic reviews. The safe landing page also, be careful about it and make it educational / informational and it must not have content that indicates a sales pitch, which gets detected by the AI in Google Ads algorithms.

People are making claims of curing diabetes to cancer. Google will definitely be strict on health ads. AI will read, understand, and flag your content without any human intervention. So, you need to take a lot of precautions.
