This week I was billed 3 times for the same hosting. Contacted live chat support and a guy asked me to stop paying them more than once. Told them it is paypal who automatically sent money and he said 'oh'

Anyway I got it transferred to 2 months advance payment and immediately remove my auto subscription.

Just to give heads up that hostgator is acting funny this way. Other than that, I have no issues with them.

They also recently added a plugin to the fantasico install of WP that adds a backlink at the bottom of your site, very sneaky. Have lost all trust in them!

sneaky backlinks? that's a new one. i plan on moving soon because i don't trust them.

Hummm I just updated wordpress on one of my sites hosted with them. Didnt appear to add any backlinks. Maybe it is just on new installs. I will have to test this out. Thanks for the info.

Never had problems with HG, They are good, don't use auto payment ;p
