I’ve worked with VAs for quite some time, and what I’ve noticed is that performance often depends on two main things: clear expectations + accountability systems. Even with SOPs, many VAs need structured check-ins, defined KPIs, and sometimes smaller milestone-based tasks instead of long, open-ended ones. Also, hiring from platforms where workers are already vetted for consistency (instead of just cheapest options) makes a huge difference.

I can confirm your experiences. I have hired a VA on this platform several times and have always been completely disappointed. Some of these guys are even so brazen as to respond here in this thread.
Even the simplest tasks, which take me 30 minutes, are not completed even after a day or two. I get the impression that once again, these are just resellers who buy their services elsewhere and have no idea or control whatsoever.
I've learned from this and am now automating even more tasks. This takes a few hours, but afterwards I have a stable and reliable solution. Thanks to AI, programming is possible for everyone.
For tasks that actually require a human being, you can find better deals on Fiverr and other platforms.

Yeah I know what you mean, a lot of VAs don’t stay consistent even with SOPs. I actually have 6–8 free hours a day plus weekends, and i put that time into VA work. I’m reliable, quick to learn, and can follow instructions exactly — or take responsibility when needed. i already done many gigs here in BHW and outside BHW.
