I have 10 autoblogs for keywords that are supposed to be getting 35k-90k monthly visitors according to the google keyword tool. However, I'm only getting ~30 visitors a day in TOTAL? Each site except for one is in the middle of the second page of Google. How come the traffic I'm getting is less than 0.0857% of what Google said is the monthly search volume? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Whaaaat? G tells you about 35k-90k monthly visitors and you only get 30 daily? Unbelievable. [I am still banging my head against the wall, this is so unbelievable that it can't be true]

Are you sure that those results were "exact match" and not "broad match"?

Well, for exact match the traffic should be about 8k for the weakest blog and 27k for the strongest, according to google's keyword tool. You guys would be even more surprised if I told you what the actual terms are but I won't for obvious reasons. They're quite popular. It's almost like being on page 2 for "Boston Bruins" and getting ~3 visitors per day. I also have another autoblog that's on the front page of google (rank 5) for a keyword that supposedly gets 2k traffic per month but I get ~5 visitors a day. What am I doing wrong?

Google puts frequently visited sites higher up on its pages. So if you are seeing your site on the first or second page, it might be just because you visit it a lot. Check the rankings from another computer to see if that's the case.

    Google sometimes lies...

I have had a keyword they said was receiving 60,000 searches a month (on exact) and my site ranks #3 for it and there are days I received 0 visitors for this keyword coming from google.com...

I have heard that Google includes everything in those estimates, including how much traffic goes through the paid search and content networks. This is why it is a good idea to diversify your portfolio of traffic/ sites/ income methods as much as possible.

Here is the chart for percentage of total estimated searches (by position in the SERPs):

    Page one:

    Position 1: 30%

    Position 2: 15%

    Position 3: 7%

    Position 4: 5%

    Position 5: 4%

    Position 6: 4%

    Position 7: 2%

    Position 8: 2%

In this case, Vini's site listed in the example above SHOULD be getting approximately 4,200 hits per month, or roughly 140 hits/ day. The fact that on some days he (or she) gets zero means that Google is using other data to calculate their total.

Do a backlink comparison to see who is outranking you, then try throwing some backlinks at the problem, maybe some PPC to get the site up and over. I have seen this work. Also-- you didn't mention if this is an exact-match domain? That sometimes makes a difference.

It also depends of your title.
Pay attention at it and your title.

I am definitely on the second page for the keywords that are supposed to be getting lots of traffic. I've checked on another computer while logged out of my Google account and I've also used seoserp to check its validity. I am actually on the first page now (8th) for two of the terms and I am still only getting 150 visitors a month for that site instead of the expected ~10k. The domains aren't exact to the keywords since I've appended a three letter word to the end. The title matches the keyword 100% with no extra words. This is totally BS because I know these terms are very popular and Google also says that they should be getting a lot of traffic.

Most people here in BHW have traffic problem. Monetize is not a big problem. I also have same experience good rank in google SERP but not recieved enough traffic. We don't know how big G calculate number in keyword tools. Just guess it.
