How do you guys find local influencers?

I tried DMing but very few respond

Let's say New York and I've got a bunch of clients so niche doesn't matter.

All you tried was DMing? No offense, but try a little harder. If you are looking for local influencers...approach them like a local not through instagram DM. That’s the only thing you have thats different about you based on the info you gave us.

How to find local influencers:
  1. Go to geo
  2. type your location what you are looking for
  3. Check the best posts
  4. Find your influencers you want to work with. (i usually do list in excel to remember who i've seen already and who not) / You can find local influencers even on Youtube.
  5. Now you have to treat this like a business it's not a some playground with bunch of kids. (you have to take it seriously)
  6. Write high quality e-mail, where you are asking if are they working with companies etc.. (There are dozens of tutorials on YT and i guess even here how to write business offer to influencers)
  7. Give them 2 days to respond, if they don't respond you within those 2 days.
  8. DM them that you've send them e-mail with business offer. (You can add emojis on start to be it as clickbait)
  9. Wait 2 days. If they don't respond you then you can: call them (Prefer this doing on begening) if they have phone number in account or E-mail them again (Try to send it early morning → you will show up on top of their email list) or DM them again (again try to contact them in the morning to be on top of their list)
or you can go on latest post and write them that you like their post etc.. and you've send them e-mail / DM. (This i recommend to do as last thing if these above didn't work, you are begging them to work with you, so you are giving them advantage above you in negotiate)
  10. Close the fucking deal.

scrape relevant locations via:

https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/

Scrape the profile information of those who posted to the explore location URLs you select to a CSV

Open CSV in excel, use a basic formulae to list the influencers as you desire, or just order by column on followers_count (for something simple)

To take it further:
scrape profiles who posted in explore locations
scrape their (x) most recent posts with csv details

formulae to take into account: profile details (followers etc) and media properties (num of likes / comments) in (n) most recent posts or (x) most recent days.

Further, add a filter to the profile, to make sure they are from the area and not a tourist, but be where, this will ignore some who do not specify a location. However, if they are an influencer, perhaps can assume they have filled in their profile correctly and location will be specified.

Other way, rather than explore URLs, is to run other searches (perhaps hashtag for your niche, perhaps hashtag which is location centric that your niche uses) then use this to funnel into the CSV details scrape for your review of the data

One problem to be aware of, these scrapes can get big, so you may need to divide the scraping over multiple accounts to avoid too many requests / blocks

Influencers are like you. They receive dozens, and sometimes hundreds of request. Your first sentence should be:
Hi (name) <-- don't be lazy and get the correct name of the person. No account name, no blog name no plain hi or hello.
I am (so and so, from so and so). I have a campaign that I think you're a good fit for. We (specify what you'll give, product and/or money, and be specific $100, $500, same as what type of product), for 1 X Instagram post in feed (specify for what, 2 Instagrams posts in feed, 1 X Instagram story, 1 X Instagram story with swipe-up), etc.

End it sweet, and leave an email and phone. (those not leaving this info are usually considered spammers).

Now, why be specific? Because influencers are not dumb, nor stupid. They will check to see how much your product is worth and what it is. If it behooves them to be affiliated with the company/product, they will contact you. Same if they think the money is worth it.

By the way, if you leave a DM with "contact me for for info" and don't specify what you want and what you'll provide as compensation, don't hold your breath, nor come back here bitching about not getting responses.

If you do not receive a response, it's because the product sucks and/or the money is not good enough. Remember, THEY are DOING YOU A FAVOR. Not the other way around.

I deal with influencers day in and day out. I know.

Martin, can instadub really do that? I’ve purchased your bot but didn’t know the settings could be set...

It can do the parts required yes, but it is a manual process to perform each part. I hope to improve this soon to put it into a single function. For more info, send me an email / post to support forum as I can not talk details on BHW due to the rules.

There is another thread here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/finding-influencer-metrics-brainstorm-ideas.1070034/#post-11553665
Where we are discussing what could be done to better find influencer accounts. If you have ideas come join in :)

If niche doesn't matter and I'm allowed to say, I have 2 pages totalling 300k plus work with a network of other big pages. FYI sorry if I'm not allowed to say.

You need to try facebook groups they worked for me at least. Check for local facebook groups.
