Having trouble deciding on keyword type

Any help here? I mean I can look up keywords all day long, but I'm not sure - should I avoid medical? I have already decided I need to avoid technical because those people looking up technical stuff are probably not going to fall for my pseudosite.

Anything I should avoid like the plague? Any good in general areas? I am thinking personal beauty products are good, but something else I have a little knowledge of is medical stuff but I'm not sure if that's even possible to bump the .gov and wiki sites.

A little experience would be appreciated.

Depends on what you are going to do with it.

Write your own content and manage yourself. Do something you know a lot about.

Autoblog. Pick something, anything, set it up. Rinse and repeat with different areas. Shotgun aprouch.

Ah well - things I know a lot about:

Photography
Coding and databases.

Problem is the former is not easy to create a site about since there are so many niches but they're not mainstream and the latter is full of people who are too smart to fall for the pseudosite.

I mean yea I guess I could actually write all the content myself and put a lot of sweat into it but isn't that totally white hat and defeating the purpose of SEO microsites?
