Having traffic problems...need some advice

Ok, iv read through this forum, and many others, and all say the exact same things, but none really targeted for the movie niche. My site is a movie link site, with no content locking/surveys/other bs, but im only getting 100-200 UV afters almost 3 weeks.

Ideas my reading has given me -
Post on forums - Most insta ban even when comment is relevant
Upload to youtube - Uploaded 15 videos, got 1 visitor.
Comment on blogs - Had a little success, but cant find many blogs that allow comments with urls
Yahoo answers - Get 20-30 visitors a day, because of daily bans
Social Bookmark sites - Banned after 2-3 posts about new content
Social Networking - over 2k fans on facebook, and have got 2 visitors

These methods are posted all over the internet, so my thought is "your doing it wrong". Can someone either post here, or shed some like on one or more of the methods above? My target is 4k UV by end of next month, what are my steps to achieve this?

If your getting 100-200 uv after 3 weeks i think your doing pretty good. Build up them backlinks and keep at it. Add a extra hour per day at your efforts. Things will pick up maybe not as fast as you would like but give it a little more time your doing allot better then most do within 3 weeks.

In that case, what is a reasonable timeframe for 4k UV/day ? Maybe my expectations on my traffic are a little high. I was thinking 1, maybe 2 months max. But at this rate it would be 6-8 months before I started seeing that many visitors?

Just keep doing what you're doing, I would focus more on blog commenting it's going to get you there quickest. I'd also be active in the movie forums to get quality traffic.
