Having Success With Twitter + Amazon?

Please share experience in tweeting Amazon products using your affiliate link. How many followers and quality of followers needed to make decent money?

I am slowly building a Twitter account with Trump supporters. I'm at 1500 followers, I think I will wait until at 5000 followers before tweeting out amazon products. Also I may try selling T-Shirts.

What is your current results with this method?
