Have you tried monetizing with cc submit offers from ad-center/mediahub? I was doing those with the past world cup and they were a lot better than content locking.

I utilize content lockers for cpa offers with zip code and email submit, maybe the traffic source not convet well but I had dozens leads each event with this method.

The ones who claim CPA is dead, are the ones that read a method and follow it word for word, then give up when they don't see any results in 2 or 3 days. If you're not willing to add your own unique twist to a method, and do some good testing for optimalc results than IM probably isn't for you.
