I tried posting under Affiliate and didn't have any responses.
I recently started a classified site that has a dedicated adult portion on it. I have setup the banner ads (easy) and joined some affiliate programs, but what I am really looking for is not the banner ads but single ads, where each one is a link to a seemingly different person. I can't post urls here to give you a reference, but if you were to go under WomenforMen on any site like CL or BPage, you would know what I am referring to. First off I want to know the name of this type of advertising and then how to get users of this type? My guess is that most of these ads are generated by few companies who post many different women from the same place. They could also be independent escorts listing each and every ad, but it seems unlikely. I have written 100's of emails and can't seem to track these ads down, but I have had a lot of offers to join sites and such. :) Does anyone have any idea how most of these ads work or where I could find more information about it? Even the affiliates I have signed up with don't seem very interested in responding to emails or giving any type of direction on how to setup my site. Thanks for your time.

I am getting some views, but no responses. Any feedback on the question for those of you who aren't replying? Is it a difficult question, or a stupid question, or both? :) I would have thought there would be some kind of response on it.

Talk about CL posting is banned so that might be one problem. I think what you're basically asking is how to create W4M and related posts on your CL clone.

1. You need a ton of traffic as it's a competitive market place
2. You need to create hundreds or more likely thousands of unique ads so people will want to browse your listings.
3. When you do get traffic you will either need to setup auto responders or manually sift through the many emails you'll likely get and use Social Engineering to convince them you are a real person to get them to sign up on your affiliate offers.
4. Most affiliate companies do not allow this type of traffic as it has a extremely high charge back rate.
5. If you continue down this route you will likely; get ban from your affiliate network(s), lose your account earnings, get sued for fraud.

It is entirely possible to find some shady affiliate networks that allow this kind of traffic and just keep giving you new affiliate accounts and claiming that they "banned that bad user and thank you for your spam report". Just be aware, should they come under heat from the law they will give you up and let you take the fall.

thanks for the response. So are you saying the thousands of ads on BackPage and CL are illegal? Is it banned to discuss the CL posting because of competition to this site, or because it is illegal? I am not following who is banning it and why?

I don't want to post ads myself, especially fake ads, but I want other, legitimate services to post for free on my site and list their ads which they would make money from, and I myself wouldn't make any, but it would increase my traffic. Can you explain what you mean by a "high charge back rate". I wouldn't be charging anything, so who would be charging them?
Thank you so much for replying. I am still confused but I will google CL posting and see what comes up. Any more information you, or anyone else has, is extremely helpful and appreciated.

So I have searched the forum and see there is a ban on the shady practice of CL posting , which I still don't know exactly what it is and if it is what I am even looking for. I see that if I join, I can post or ask for this elusive practice, but as of yet, I don't know if I even need it and the forum hasn't been very helpful with any of my questions, which makes me less apt to join. I mean really, nobody has anything to say, no advice, not even an insult or two for the noob? I know you all can do better than this. I use to be a moderator on a non-related forum and there were several of us whose only job was to help out with the stupid noob's questions. Are there any moderators here who want to pipe in? Any friendlies who can lend a few minutes to help a soul in need? Thanks in advance, and thanks again demon for your reply.

As Borat would say,
"thanks for the help".
"not"
:)
