Hey,

every time I try to register to the amazon aws and get free VPS I get the message that my AWS account is on hold and i need to provide information:
"..At your earliest convenience, please fax us a copy of a current bill (utility bill, phone bill or similar), showing your name and address...

- Name of the business
- Business phone number
- The url for your website (if applicable)
- A contact phone number where you can be reached should we need additional information
- Potential business/personal expectations for using Amazon Web Services "

is there any way to get around it?
thanks in advance.

No, amazon are very strict. I don't recommend amzon though because their services are very expensive. It's mostly for big companies who have a lot of money to spend and need top quality servers. For websites you don't need all that stuff.

Go buy cheap vpses in the marketplace or search on lowendbox.

What are you trying to use AWS for? Don't even think of running tools on Amazon, they'll ban you in 5 minutes.

Also emails are 100% limited on free VPS at Amazon, you send out emails but they don't go out.

Just my 2 cents.

i wont recommend amazon at all. free vps may sound good...but... I suggest you go with paid vps's, there are tons that offer strong services around here.
