Having no Meta Description?

I wonder if it can harm my website if I don't have the meta description on it? I don't have it, because I'm fine if Google shows some extracts from the content of my website in the search results.

It is better for you to have meta tags with descriptions as meta descriptions are helpful for users and can help increase your CTR.
 
meta tags and description doesn't matter much!
if you are fine with the current scenario, just leave it there ;)
 
It won't harm your website SEO wise if you don't have meta descriptions. I choose to use them but only because I write better ones than the content extracts Google uses.
 
You will hear a lot about this topic. In our opinion we have had success using meta descriptions for our work. Without them, your site could suffer not being indexed for the keywords you are targeting.
 
Meta Description is Optional Now a days. But its not Harmful, It will also not help you to rank. Just Google will show it in SERP.
Just Searcher will see this & will get idea of your page/post.
 
Its worse to have metas and keyword stuff them than to not have them at all. Have them, but don't abuse them.
 
it's fine to have post without meta description, google will still index your site normally.
using meta description is still an advantage because the keyword inside meta description will bring more visitor and you can drive your post to specific keyword.

There is no issue missing meta, yit will work fine, Meta description is summary of your content, using meta google understand , what exact your site do

It's not that you MUST use it. Google won't do any harm to your site. Nevertheless, if not for ranking may be but for the other purposes meta tags are still useful.
 
If you want to customize the description, use meta description dude other wise if u thing it is optional leave it, it automatically takes form the content But it is very helpful and useful.
 
Google will often ignore meta tags these days and display what they want that is relevant to the search term.
 
When your site gains authority, Google begins to trust your meta descriptions more. With time, the metas can become the snippets on SERPs. Won't happen for new sites though, they're basically ignored at first.
 
If you have more CTR in your website then don't bother about meta descriptions.
