I have done it twice but cant seem to get it what should I do. My topics are also less competitive and my pages are mostly more detailed as compared to my competitors

Instead blog post links, try putting a page on homepage, with around 1000 words, humanize it and at the end of this page you can add blog posts, there is widget option in wordpress, make sure your top menu has Home, Privacy, Contact, and at least 3 categories link.
