some say it is not possible to rank with certain keywords and to use Keyword Elite or Market Samurai to see what keywords have low competition.

    i.e.

when i run KE i put in 1 keyword but it isnt giving a ton of "other keywords" to see what is out there.

    any recommendations?

I am using Market Samurai. It's great for keyword research. And it comes with good video tutorials that explain how to do it best.

Use Market Samurai to help in picking your keywords. Once you download and install it, use their tutorial to help you understand how to use the program to pick out good keywords with low competition and decent traffic. hxxp://www.noblesamurai.com/dojo/marketsamurai/
