having a hard time ranking a news site

dear blackhatters,

some months ago i started a news site using a mfa theme and a plugin that looks for the latest google hot search trends and scrapes articles about those subjects.

problem nr 1 when the trend is quite new i rank pretty quick because im early hopping in on the trend, but after a hour or so i dont rank for that keyword anymore because other better and higher autority sites start ranking for it with there stories.

problem nr 2 i dont know what anchors to use for backlinking as my site doesnt have a particular subject it just gets the latest google hot search trends but those are different like every hour. therefor i dont know what anchors to use.

problem nr 3
i have a hard time getting my links to stick, its bouncing alot but the last 3 days its at 444 backlinks mostly no-follow consisting of around 75% blogcomment links and the rest is xrumer profiles. i have a hard time getting them indexed and a hard time keeping them indexed as it went from 430 to 450 to 440 to 495 to 444 backlinks recently.


so my question is: is it possible to monetise this at all , ive had days of 4 dollar a day but the last 2 weeks its like 20 cents total. should i start building other sites in my spare time, if so can i do it on the same domain in a subdirectory as my domainname is: thebestonlinearticles. which is pretty broad and can be used in alot of different niches.

do other people also have a opinnion on my issues/problems with ranking a news site ??

prtoblem 1 : its fact, authority sites will take you over anytime., gain authority links and imho authority sites doesnt scrape article3s., they have writers for this., they may be watching hot trends and write the articles for it.,

problem2 : if its news site then use keyword research for like latest news or hot news, breaking news., or just set the corect brandable tittle of your site and dont use anchor text., just use ur link.,

problem 3 : keep building., create a big list of sites with pr, and at 1st run, just create account., and then second run., add links.


so my question is: yes u can moetize it with ppc ads advertising like adsense ,chitika., few cpa's

if u have spare time., build another site., but i would focus on a single site coz., it will get full attention and can bring in some $$
