Having a bad time with FL DMs

I use FL to manage around 4 client accounts. It's been pretty difficult to get everything up and running from getting the spintax just right and then all the settings, something else seems to go wrong every time I almost think it's going to be smooth sailing.

Originally, I had an issue where Followliker wasn't sending out DMs to new followers. Messaged support and was advised to increase the number of scraped followers to 1000 from 20 or 40. At this point, it started working great again, until I had a new issue. Now FL is sending duplicate DMs to the same user. At its worst, I've send the same DM around 6 times to the same user, all within the same day. Even worse, I'm using the <mention> thing to tag the recipient's name in the message, and FL is actually generating completely random Instagram usernames and putting them into this! It seems that it's completely jumbling up different usernames to come up with something on its own.

Support keeps telling me I must have messed something up on my end, and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the software. I disagree, so I guess I'm posting here to see if anybody else has any ideas.

I'd like to continue using the software, but I'm going to be bleeding followers if I keep pestering them with the same robotic messages.

I should also add, that the affected account doesn't seem to be properly scraping users. All my other accounts have thousands of users in their scraped users list, with designations about whether they've been DM'd or not, but the affected account has a completely empty list. I suspect this has something to do with it.

I'd love it if there was a way to ONLY send DMs to new followers, so at least once I figure out how to fix this, I don't have to again send a new DM to all my existing people. Or if the blacklist covered DMs, which I don't believe it does, so I can't just import a list of all current followers.
