Have your PBNs changed metrics back and forth?

Every few months, I track my PBN metrics via majestic to see what the blogs TF / CF is.. I noticed that already 4 or 5 times some of my blogs have gone from a 10 - 20+ TF to 0 TF / 15-20+ CF, only to return to 10 - 20+ TF months later.. I can understand if links moved or died that pointed to the domain I purchased, but I can't understand how it goes to 0 for months on end and then returns back to normal, I've also had blogs go 0/0 for months only to return to normal TF / CF.

Has anyone seen this happen before?

Majestic metrics are updated once every 24 hours. So yeah, they shift. After you built your PBN it's irrelevant to check metrics of your domains. It doesn't mean shit.

We all complained to Majestic about this a long time ago, so they released their TF History tool

Majestic run a distributed crawler and reindex their database frequently which updates their metrics. Sometimes their little bots might not pickup the same backlinks that it found (and still exist) in the previous crawl, e.g. maybe there was a mass DNS issue somewhere. So fluctuation are a part of the Majestic system, so when you review a domain in Majestic, you're only reviewing a snapshot at that point in time.

Use Ahrefs!

Ahrefs, majestic, moz etc are not google. Why worry if their metrices change?
