have you noticed this fact?

I know a lot of females (younger, and older) who run sites, and they told me that they want to work on their sites when they have spare time.

Same here. And I would consider a woman who is raising a family AND has a blog making a couple dollars a day more successful then a man who is dedicating all his time and energy making thousands a day. I work mostly on Elance, and 4/5 people who hire me are Female.

They are more intrested in sharing new pics in facebook
OMG, will people get a grip? It is a mindset like this that totally tweaks my onions. Just because women YOU know might be like this does not mean that all are. Thinking like this is what keeps people down. Every situation is different and every individual is different. Until you guys figure that out, you are going to be a big time loser.

ERRR. Wrong.

Women actually specialize MUCH better than men in just about everything that is not physical.

They are better problem solvers, they are better with details, they are better with instruction, they are better with logic.

Like I said before.. If more parents would turn their girls away from Bieber for 3 minutes and give her a book or puzzle instead, this topic would be a dying thought.

my post based on scientific study did in US by US scientists i read
last year , your post based on your opinion/emotions ?

This thread is also quite a good example of why women probably don't make themselves more known, especially on forums like this. There are clearly a lot of people who live with extremely old values and wouldn't treat a female businesswoman the same as a male.
Meathead, I have total respect for you and you know your shit. I totally give you props for your abilities AND in how you express yourself clearly and concisely. You are exactly right. I guess I come in on the opposite end of this spectrum. I am a man and, when I find out someone is a female here, I am more likely going to go out of my way to help her. Why? Because it's a natural protective instinct I have in my genes or something. Perhaps I hope to get lucky, who knows, but I know I will help a woman a lot faster than I will a man. I have no idea how that makes it tougher on women than men. Maybe there are a lot less men like me than I realize. I think I am pretty normal.

If you are grinding, it is easier to establish yourself by choosing an ambiguous name (like roamer or LBrown or tonililaz or shadowcat) until you have credibility and respect. Then come out as a woman.

That's not a very ambigous picture though LBrown... definitely female.
Then again if there was a 'JBieber' on BHW with a pic of himself, i'd swear it was a woman's profile too
:)

So you are just going to pull numbers out of nowhere and call them facts? Is that also how you were raised? If you can't win, then just cheat? I understand if that is your opinion, but don't try to claim it as fact if you aren't going to explain why you claim a % like that.

Once again, how do YOU determine success in Internet Marketing? Nobody in this thread cares about SEO. We are talking about Internet Marketing. I would consider anyone who makes enough to be happy with their profit successful. Teenage girls getting free samples from companies seem pretty successful to me, but you won't see their names on any Forbes Top 10 lists.

Are you serious with that? Go take a poll of 15 year old girls who are earning money off their Justin Bieber obsession. I bet my figure is fairly accurate at 1/1000. Is this how you were raised? Not to actually have a point, so try and pick the most minuscule piece and debunk it? You showed me.

If this entire thread is about each individuals personal perception of success, then it's a pretty moot point, isn't it? Because personally I'd call success being independent, paying your bills, enjoying your family and being happy.

Whether you care about SEO or not, you're sitting here saying that competition and drive to be better do not play into IM at all. How can you say that? Why do people not disclose their IM niche? Why does not everybody in IM make 6 figures?

Because of competition. Competition drives every single market, period. If you cannot see that, you'll sleep on your mom's sofa forever.

Have you ever noticed why females are lot way back in comparison to males in making websites (founder) .
i did a search of top 25 website founder (like big g,fb,twitter, ebay etc) and amazed to find the fact that there is hardly any woman making or founding any website.
I just want to know the female website founders\makers.
Why girls are a lot back with males to IM?
Do females have slow brain then males ?
It's amazing that a barely coherent original post like this is turning into a firestorm. Who'd thunk it? I love it though. Healthy debate gives me a major hard-on (maurisa please post again so I can look at your pic) LOL :tounge-in

That attitude also isn't necessarily going to help the woman, either, though. They don't want sympathy, or "special" treatment, they just want to be treated equally (I've worked with a number so I'm going off what I understand from them).

Either way, it's still safer to go with an ambiguous username or even pretend they are male, in order to avoid the discrimination they will get from SOME members of the forum (not all, of course).

See the thing is that IM forums are chockful of idiotic retrograds who think the only goal of a female IMer is to get with some guy whose English is as deficient as his mind, so we prefer to go around our business without even mentioning we're women.

It wouldn't surprise me if most girls just lurk, pretend they're guys or simply don't come around these places. My two cents.

He was just joking because of the fact we spend so much time here and the boy girl ratio is 10000:1
Your reaction doesn't make you look smart at all, it just tells us more about your lady manners and etiquette.
Insulting and showing intolerance to other forum members for no intentions but just kidding is unnecessary.

Not even the occasional review copy?? lol

Yeah but I doubt it has anything to do with the fact that I'm a girl, when I get a review copy of something. I guess most people here don't even know that I'm a girl.
I played online games for years and I mostly didn't tell anyone that I'm female. You know why? Because it never was an advantage when I did. Quite the oppsite. Either guys don't take me serious, or they immediately started to flirt with me. How's that an advantage? Lol! They annoyed the hell out of me with their stupid flirty messages.

Do you have ANY way of determining how many Women earn enough livable income and still have time to spend with family, as compared to Men? If success in your eyes means having time to enjoy your family and be happy, then I hate to break it to you, but most men are not successful. Take a poll of 15 wives of wealthy men. How many of them are happy? How many of them feel their husband works too much?

People don't disclose their Niche because they are paranoid. Every person involved in Social Media displays their Niche LOUD AND PROUD. My niche is SEO for small businesses, helping people get established with Social Media accounts etc. meathead1234's main niche is site flipping. Not everyone in Internet Marketing is afraid of releasing their niche or afraid of competition.

meathead1234 actually helps a lot of people get information on flipping their own sites successfully. I have no problem teaching people how to sign up on fiverr and make a backlinks gig on Fiverr to compete with me.

Again, you are too focused on SEO as being "Internet Marketing" when it is just such a small part of it. Most successful Internet Marketing doesn't even SEEM like Internet Marketing, it just seems like Entertainment, or Knowledge.

Unfortunately, being this way is not really an attitude. It's just the way I am and, unfortunately, I don't think I would go out of my way not to help a woman just because she is a woman in an effort to change myself.

However, knowing I am like this, I am not going to demean a woman for her success, in part, because of help from people like me. In the end, we all make our own way, we all have to do our own work. It's just sad that not everyone understands this.

Why are you posting pictures of my relatives? :D

See what I mean, man? Now you're going back on what you previously said.. Before you told me that it was up to everybody to form their own opinion of success, then you tell me that my opinion means that nobody's successful. Make up your mind.

Let me rephrase that.. What is your money keyword? Why don't you start by telling me that? Then show me your website and let me analyze it. Sure, there are some that have no problem saying this information, but most will not. Many will even flame you if you out somebody's keyword and/or website.

I'm sure he won't mind because he also talks about how you can build a business on BHW alone.. Meaning, his clients are here, his business is here and he's not worried about competition because he's already carved out his place as the best. There is the occasional flip side to the competition thing... Stuff like small business SEO, you don't worry much about competition because there's not much competition for "greenville seo" or "lawyers in orem, ut."

Same applies to him, he doesn't have to worry about competition NOW because he's already worried about it THEN. I highly doubt while he was establishing his business initially, he was inviting people into his niche/keyword.

I'm also not confusing IM with SEO as I've made this point very clear, I do not do IM. As in, internet marketing is not my profession. I do not learn about IM. I am not interested in internet marketing. I do not work on a daily basis to improve my IM skills. Have I made this clear to you yet?

The only reference to SEO and IM I have made is that competition fuels business. Which you disagree with somehow (weird that Google protects their code so much when competition does not affect business), but never say why. You just find some silly point that I make in a previous post and bash it, call me names and attempt to make me look like an idiot. Then completely contradict all of your earlier points by doing exactly what you say I should not do.

(BTW, a few posts back somebody said that the male:female ratio here on BHW is 1:1000. I highly doubt he properly sourced and cited that information as being complete and accurate. You may want to shoot him a PM to shape up or ship out.)
