I usually suffer from sleep pralisis about once or twice/year.

Tonight was one of that time and was quite scary. Obviously I was stuck in bed and had the hallucination of having a demon behind the bed looking at my face from behind, so I only saw his face, hideous, and backwards. And his hands since he was stroking my cheeks

Damn. What is you scarier hallucination you had

I did a few times several years ago.
I understand why its scary but at the same time felt like I had a much needed deep sleep.

Yes. Nasty little experience. Had about 1-2 episodes every month during my teen years. It’s slowed down now but at least one every month.

Yes, I used to have similar experiences happening, some scary stuff. Haven't had them in years, but used to be frequent. Not sure what caused them in particular for me, buy I researched a lot at that time.

Yes, oh my god! Dude, I used to do this so often that I sometimes found myself afraid to sleep. I would do it, wake up, go back to sleep, and end up right in the same scenario. I used to do this bad. There are some people that actually try to put themselves in this state. People say if you can keep your brain awake while your body falls asleep, you'll enter this state.

Pretty freaky and scary stuff! The first time it happened, it scared the CRAP out of me.

the scariest part is the feeling of falling or being dragged down and I am unable to move. I can only grind my teeth and grunt

I have it once every few years, its really hard to go back to sleep and reset your body (basically reboot) so both body and mind work together (ze mind und body handshake protocol, see its fun).

We call it 'yathoum' (or jathoum) in Arabic; loosely referred to as a demon sitting on your chest.

One time while studying abroad I had it and couldnt turn around even my jaw was hurting and I crashed back to sleep; when I woke up the door was still banging, apparently I locked the door without a key; needless to say I had to pay for the door frame and a new lock and fire fighter services (I did not know some countries charge you for emergency services).

I usually experience it when I sleep for too long, it's super nasty being awake but not able to move

But I never had these crazy hallucinations some of you describe here

That's interesting. You have to pay for fire services where I live. If you don't pay, they'll sit and watch your house burn down.

It seems I'm the only one who hasn't experienced something like that yet

I don't know if it ever happens to you, but most of the time, just when I'm going to fall asleep, a lady's voice says my name in my ear

I only feel like I am falling down and I react it, then I feel that I reacted. Happens usually!

There are a lot of people doing this intentionally to have Astral Projection

I had this years ago only when I deprived myself from sleep. Working 15+ hours a day

They stopped when I started to sleep like a normal person

I received two episodes of sleep paralysis as a review copy.

It was scary. I must say I'm not really a fan, but the thing promised was the thing delivered.
The demon was very professional in trying to take my soul away.
Luckily my wife heard me trying to scream with my mouth closed so she snapped me out of it.
Would not recommend. 2/10

Yes once.

Its the work of demons who live in another dimension.
