A one page website at the top of google? Im thinking of trying it in a easy niche.

I'm in the process of trying it now. I'm at 15 at the moment.

Thats pretty awesome yea godaddy just told me i get a free instant 1 page site with my domains so i added a bunch of content and now im going to try to rank it. Its just 1 of my many campaigns but its the 1st time ive tried to rank a actual one page website if it hits the top then ill know it can be done.

Actually there was a guy here that ranked one page website once.
He works for Google now!
Just kidding, probably many of us did, so as I.

LOL. Well my niche is easy the site ranking #1 on google now only has around 100 backlinks.

If the #1 ranking site is a page on an authority site like Amazon or Wikipedia, I wouldn't classify it as easy. Most SERPs aren't easy to rank high in these days, although the opposite is the case if you regularly go after keywords with very low competition.

Not impossible to achieve but might not be for long. You might want to consider multiple-page site rather than 1 page only.

I ranked a few one page affiliate website before at the top of Google back when I was experimenting with launch jacking, although they didn't stay there for long.

I've done it before but I find it a lot easier to use at least 3-5 pages even if I'm just trying to rank a 1 page lead gen site. Multipage sites just work a lot better in my experience.

Although right now I see 1 page sites ranking for 5 to 6-figure a month keywords. Crappy websites and on-page can always be overcome with baller ass links.

Pick a niche with low competition write some good unique articles and do tiered link building

Single page websites, even once ranked, could attract the thin content penalty.

Im always going for medium-high competition with many searches per month, because if it is high volume of search it means that I will be ranked for some long tail keywords that I don't even want to rank for... That is how google works... If some niche is popular then there are many keywords variations... I just change my post title, that it's not like 1000 others and voila, someone will come and same method for each post... My title isn't "iphone 6 review" like 100 authority sites have and you'll never rank for that, my title is "10 things you didn't know about iPhone 6"...

I havent myself but like above have said im sure with SAPE or SPAM or a blackhat way you can.

I have 15 PBN links that took me to rank 15 so it's not bad. I'm experimenting with little content and strong links. I should have another 15 links by the end of next week and hopefully that should take me to 1!

Yes, that is probably enough if you're competing for a 1000 monthly exact search keyword but if you are targeting keyword with 15k or more you'll need much more blinks...

I had 300+ EMD when they held more value and many of them were on the front page with zero links. Little more difficult now days though.
