    Have You Ever Clicked on a Wikipedia External Link?

    I have never clicked on any of them before.

    So it's really hard for me to believe when people say that they receive tons of traffic from wikipedia

    Done it many times in research and some of the links are down - I guess nobody checks them out

    I did once in a while when I was in high school when I needed a source page.

    Yeah, that's what I thought.

    It's hard enough to read their articles. Most of them are so full of technical terms.

    Beg to differ.. ~25 per day.. It depends on the keywords you target.. For the keywords which has less info on WIKI and good demand they get clicks.. you can't imagine the power it holds..

    My last feat with wiki, Placed a link on Wikipedia with an Anchor Text which was not relevant to my site. The anchor text never existed on that page or on the site. But the linked page ranks for the anchor text.. Even though my test site was banned for abusing the ref links it still ranks.. :) I assume its only because i got traffic from that placed link
