I have a theory that google started to get a lot more aggresive with their updates and de-indexing websites during this period. Ofc I have no data to prove this, but I have got a personal anecdotes from people who run multiple sites stating that more than 1 of their sites has been hit during this period.

Is this the same for you too?

It's clear now. Small Blogs maintained by a single person as a hobby won't survive. All Google wants is high authority websites irrespective of content quality.

In this March update, they deindexed even some big sites. All data is public.
