Tell me the truth... this is fucking hard... Like Google is for ROR and won't drop it. I've been throwing everything at this bastard... i got tons of shit on the front page but nothing is over powering it. Did 3 websites exact match TLDs. Got lots of stuff to take front page, video, websites... but nothing beating it. Did 100 + social media profiles, press releases using KW triggers, its been less than 2 months nothing is pushing this fucker down though. Did soundcloud profile links too, which according to MOZ that link should beat my ROR link.

TELL ME THE TRUTH, HAVE U DONE IT? No bullshit advice from people with bullshit theories... Tell me the truth, have U actually beat it? I want to hear from u. If so, PM me please... i am willing to pay for real consultation, I am capable to do the work... just need some advice. i want to see actual proof and a method. It would be so enlightening!:)

That's a tough one. The whole point of ROR is to show up before the service that's going to rip you off :)

You can put your competition on it and what sucks is if your the person on it they will try and charge you $2000 to talk to someone about removing it, so have seen it ruin business owners in the past.

I've beat a lot of ROR, but it certainly took more than two months I can tell you that. One of them took over a year.

How often are new reports being filed? One of the hardest ones that I have battled is one that was getting consistent new reports. Google loved that fresh content and it would shoot back up to the top every time there was a new ROR.

I"ve been working on beating RoR and it very hard so hearing that its going to take a year is well quite disturbing... it's been a month and it still loves to hang around first spot and I have two domain names yet still google is a pain in the sack. Ive thought about working it from the bing and yahoo angle first due to the fact that google reads those search engines. I will update this thread if I find more useful information.

I did outranked ROR's before, you should be careful not to reply on the ROR post where is being talked about your company, as it will make it stronger.

I have done it -- multiple times. I can't show you the proof, as it's confidential client info at my company, but I'm happy to share the technique. First off, is this for an individual or a business? It makes a difference, as there are a few more options for an individual.

    Fundamentally, though:

    1. Build out social profiles for them on all the big ones (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, Google Plus, YouTube, etc.):
    a. Make sure they're all cross-linked.
    b. Make sure they're all linked from the main site with rel="self".
    c. Set up all the stuff like About.me, Appearoo, BrandYourself (if an individual), etc.
    d. Crank content through them consistently.
    e. Lightly boost your social with Empire.Kred and some more automated tools like AddMeFast and SocialAdr. LIGHTLY.

    2. You have to do something to game Google user behavior. We use CrowdSearch.me, but there's also PandaBot.net, and there are ways (a little trickier) to do it with MTurk.

That's all, of course, meant to be used in conjunction with whatever link-building you're doing. Those are just the things that we've found work when link-building alone doesn't.

Thank you so much for this useful information!

I am working on beating a ror for a client and the strangest behavior is happening.
As I am building positive reputation trough Press Releases, Business Listings + Reviews, Web 2.0, Exact Match Domains, Social Networks, they all slowly start showing up and ranking on first page BUT along with them the ROR first went down from position 4 to position 8 and this morning shoot back up to position 3. I kinda lost it for a second. No update was done on the ROR, the shit is old from 2011. I have no idea why would it start ranking higher than usual but i assume it's a fluctuation and hopefully drops down again.

Please people if you have any advice to share it's more than welcome here and we are grateful for it! Beating ROR is one hell of a hard work.
