Have I struck gold?

It sounds like a good keyword but keyword stats can usually either overestimate or underestimate and therefore aren't really a good representative of whether it is a profitable keyword. It's an estimate, that's all it is.

I would suggest you stick with the keyword for a month and see how you go. If it ends up being profitable, congrats!

Good luck.

Yep! Going to give it a go, flung a site up just had ten articles written and ten pages of content so going to push it up to page 1 and see what happens. My first real effort :)

Good luck.

The only way to really know if you've struck gold is to give a go.

It sounds promising man. I wish you luck in your endeavors. I often find a lot of KW's that no one targets through adwords "See search terms all".

Remember to update this thread as it starts to rank. Always nice to see people succeed:-)

Why don't you try it out and then see for youself. You will get nothing if you don't try.

Check it in adwords - how much do you have to bid to be number one, and then check number two and three. If the numbers differ a lot - the value is grossly inflated, if not - you may have a winner.

Update on this: I have sorted all content for the site and pushed 10 BMR posts up and a few AMR blasts, but have not moved from the top spot of page 2 yet. I will do some work over the weekend to push it up to page 1 and report back. I do admit I have not given this site much attention beyond that work. Traffic right now is very low, around 5 uniques a day but as of yesterday I was getting some very targeted search terms hitting the site, we will see if this improves as I climb the first page.

I have NOT put AdSense on the site yet, saving that for now :)

Update:AdSense added, generated 0.50 with 1 click :) now position #7 on page 1 - very little traffic (less than 10 uniques a day) - changed geotargeting to global in webmaster tools to see if global traffic helps. I will wait until I am in the top 3 which should be in the next few days.

I have also been working with my creative team at work and made a really sexy template for the site, going to convert it to a flat HTML / CSS template tonight and apply that ASAP - with my very own handmade SEO optimised CMS (so simple! just reads a flat XML file for content) I actually have a killer micro niche engine I can reroll over and over now. I will post how I made this on my blog and put it up for download later.
