Have I set myself up for a fall?

Hey Gurus,

I recently bought a domain. My competition is low competition for a local wedding video service I provide.

I recently went fiverr mad and bought:

1200 profile backlinks
800 social bookmarks
Articles (can not remember the number)

Biggest competition has between 100 and 200 local based links from blogs etc

All direct to my money site and drip feeding to my free linklicious account as we speak.

The thing is, I have been doing a lot of white hat - web 2.0 sites and directories that are niche related.

The question is, should I cancel my Linklicious account before the forum profiles get indexed after all my manual work (which got me from nowhere to number 41 in Google)?

Will my premature spending on Fiverr get me de-indexed after they go through and get spiderd?

Advice please, if you have the time.

Linklicious won't get the forum profiles indexed, don't worry. You'll likely end up fine.

Don't worry that much as all those linsk won't be indexed at once, but will take few weeks.

Remember to build backlinks slowly and steady, not like you did already!

Profile link don't work no more ... they used to work really well a few years ago. Same with bookmarks.

Regarding articles, you probably ordered a blast to 9K directories and got a report of 600 auto approve article links. I used to do this on competitive niches just for anchor diversity.

So I don't think you did something to get rankings tanked.

You will do a whole hell of a lot more good for a local business if you stop all this niche marketing SEO. Right now you need to develop a standard business profile with a short, med, and long description, and get your site registered in local business and industry directories. Local gets special attention from Google, and if you do it right it is a snap to get on the front page.

Be sure to use exactly the same information in these directories, and add as many videos and images as they will allow you to.

Local businesses needs roots in the community and citations, not backlinks from out of their service area. Backlinks from vendors, suppliers, and such related to your service or industry are fine. Anything promoting your business is fine, but all that stuff from another state or country does little good.

Get your on page SEO spot on so the search engines a can tell exactly what your services are. Geo lock the site to your location. Get far more citations than backlinks, and as much social as you can. Set up google authority. Maybe do a pad few submissions if you understand what that is and it applies to your business.

Do this and you will likely be on the first page of the serps in your city.

I am on the first page of google for "houston websites" (a very competitive market here) with a fairly new domain and I have done ONLY what I have described here (no pad submission yet) to get there.

Local businesses simply know nothing about SEO, they build online business cards. Build a real website and you can own the market.
