Have I killed my blog?

I bought a domain, with a view to selling my house on it - I have done this before and it saved me the agents fees. So I bought a new domain when we moved area and I put wordpress on it and left it with circa 60-70 photos and a post or two. Thought nothing more, then FFW 18 months and I find that it ranks pos 14 on google for the main keyword. So I thought I'd try to give it a push from page 2 to page 1 with some activity.

So I plugged in 3 house related website rss Feeds - rightmove, globrix and 1 other so at least the site had some relevant content on it when people were searching for houses near me. I was going to also do some blog posts, however before I got to the blog posts I got some work in and had to do that. Anyway went back two days later to blog and checked the position and the site is now nowhere, double checked with rankchecker and a coupla other tools and basically the site is ranking nowhere, but the site still has 65 pages ranked in Google.

Have I massively screwed the site? Or is this likely to be a google dance? Will it come back or are the RSS feeds killing the site? If I remove them will it revive the site and repair the ranking? Is this domain now permanently tainted? Is it now seen as a spam blog?

Any ideas/opinions/thoughts/musings gratefully received.

Sometimes websites that haven't had any activity on them can tank when you start working on them again. I've had it a couple of times. I would definitely remove the feeds and leave it for a week and see what happens. During that time post a couple of posts to it. Also, if you haven't already, you should add your site to Google webmaster tools and see whether there is a message from Google in case they found something wrong with your site.

Did the following;
Removed 3 of the 4 RSS feeds
Listed on Webmaster tools
Blogged unique articles
Updated Site description

Site now back 2 places higher...
