Have I found a niche?

Use the Google ad keyword External tool,

on the far left hand side - there is a button for 'broad'. Underneath that there is a button for 'Exact', tick that, it will show you your keywords searches in brackets, with an Exact match search.

If you have already done this - then you have found a niche!

yes, it's on exact, No offence, thanks very much for the reply, that means that I have one person who thinks it is, however is there any there who is a lot more experience which may also help me?

EDIT:

Oh and also, when using intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword" it returns 1620 results? is this good?

From what you have written, it certainly sounds inviting, however, without checking it thru then I cannot be absolutely certain...

I'm not in the business of sniping anyones chosen niche, so if you want someone to help you finally decide, give me a shout and I will help as much as I can ..

what does MS say about the top 10 competition?

i know that their isnt alot of comp in adwords but that does not really reflect the competition for ranking, only between advertisers.

6 of the top 10 are PR1-5.
2 of them are PR0
1 of them is PR1
3 are PR3
Highest PR is 6 and it's ranking 7th for it.
However there is a PR1 ranking 5th for it.

These are the stats for number 1:
PR3. 2,050 indexed pages
58 referring Domains
BLP is only 103

The 9th position is new, under a year, and only has 5 pages, and has a total amount of backlinks of only 172?

BUMP

Anyone? I need to know whether or not to buy the exact domain name?

Mate, it is just $4.95 if you buy it from Netfirms. Just do it.

well, it's a waste if it's completely pointless. i need someone to take a look and say whether it's worth it, as I don't know how to decide for my self..

you're afraid of spending $5?

leave the business now

I think this niche is right on the cusp of being valuable.

An adsense niche is only worth it if
CPC x .25 x exact searches x .4 x .05. > $50/mo

CPC x .25 = Estimation on how much $ you will average per click for that keyword
.4 = 40% = estimation of the number of people that click the #1 ranked search engine result
.05 = 5% CTR on your adsense ads.

9900*0.55*.25*.4*.05 = 27 GBP = 44 USD.

What does the .25 account for? 25% of the cpc value? I was under the impression it was more like 60/40?

Personally I would go for it. Finding a keyword with those numbers and an EMD available doesn't come around every day. Remember, it's possible to rank for most any term with enough work. I would run the allintitle, and allinurl searches as well to give you an idea of how many sites are actually targeting your keyword.

Is the emd a .com/.org/.net?

If you can't get past deciding on your on if it's worth it, good luck trying to build a site and monetizing it

intitle is 11.7k
inurl is 1.7k
both is 1.68k

using &start=990 with keyword in "" it gives 51 pages

im in uk, where can I get a domain for that cost?

you will need domain + hosting if your going for it ..

personally, I would give it a punt ..

I am sure it could be expanded to include further keyword phrases etc. which puts more in your pocket ..

Enjoy ...
